track1Its often said that you never get a second chance to make a first impression. When Brockville Speedway opens its gates – Saturday, May 11th – for the 2019 schedule, it will celebrate 50 years of impressing the motorsports enthusiasts of Southeastern Ontario. Track owner/promoter Paul Kirkland says making it to the half century mark points to the hard work and success of everyone associated with the venue over the years.

“So many people have made a trip to The BOS a part of their family tradition,” Kirkland said. “We’ve had multiple generations who’ve supported the track on either side of the fence. Drivers, fans, staff members and sponsorship partners. Its been great to watch people grow-up in this environment and see new members of our ‘track family’ year-after-year.”

Throughout the year, Brockville Ontario Speedway will have a variety of special events and promotions; starting withtrack2 the opening night that will see Howard Shaw – the inaugural champion in what is now known as the 1000 Islands RV DIRTcar 358 Modifieds – serve as grand marshal and sign autographs for fans. The season-long celebration continues until the annual running of the Loud & Dirty Northeast Fall Nationals, October 18th and 19th.
